Window Film August 6, 2008

In the late of April, my Honda City front windscreen was hit by stones during it’s journey to Penang (drove by my brother) thus causing some minor hairline crack on it. After changing it with a brand new genuine Honda parts, now my car front windscreen is without any window film (also known as tint) to protect it from UV, heat, infra red and etc (actually my original tint wasn’t a good one lol).

Now I have two options which is either I go with V-Kool or Air Cool. It’s very much depend on my preference and budget. Of course by quality, I think most would go for V-Kool as it’s proven with great testimonial from various V-Kool owner. However Air Cool is not very much behind either (according to forum post). I’m quote with RM330 for V-Kool and RM280 for Air Cool respectively for front windscreen only. Chances is I would go for V-Kool but I do have a problem with the windscreen now.
As stated in the earlier post, I’m a fussy people and I found that the workmanship for my car windscreen is not very nice which I might consider to re-do (not break the windscreen and re-claim la, just normal re-installation of the windscreen) the whole thing again so that I would fit well with the car. So my greatest concern is would re-do of the windscreen would spoil the film and if yes, can it be claimed under warranty? I know the chances is low unless I know the person so well that he can help to do something for me to claim so I’m still stuck in between V-Kool and Air Cool. Can you give me some advise?
