It’s the 5th day already, so fast lol. Today trip would be mainly at the 氹仔 which is located at the other side of the so call Peninsula Macau. Before we left for 氹仔, we had our breakfast at the 新馬路. We took bus to our destination however the fare is slightly different from the one we normally pay. The fare to move around the Peninsula Macau is MOP3.20 while going over the 氹仔 is price at MOP6.40 per trip.

Our first destination of the day is all located in the same place. It’s The Crowns Hotel, City of Dreams, Hard Rock Hotel and the famous Venetian. We dropped off from the bus at The Crowns Hotel and everything else is just around. Snap snap, it’s photo taking session as all this places is yet again another landmark of Macau that if you don’t snap, you’re not consider as being to Macau 😛

We went to the City of Dreams first. It’s a very luxurious looking hotel with several branded shops in it. It’s probably the best way for men to keep the woman busy while they are busy having fun in the casino. Finally, the big winner is the owner of the place, winning men’s money in the casino and winning woman money at the shopping lot.

At the City of Dreams, Jesse played several round of BIG SMALL and Roulette game. She won’t HKD60 from there while we did not play at all. We wanted to but the machine does not accept MOP, only HKD and since I’m not really into gambling, so don’t bother. We went to the Hard Rock Hotel after that. I felt the Hard Rock Hotel here is very different from the two that I’ve seen in Penang and Bali. Probably it’s the attraction that more effort is being put in the make it look grand and luxury. There’s this particular design decoration on the wall that look awesome. It’s made of the drum sticks (thousand of it) that form a big motive design by the wall of the side of escalator. Pure awesome and with all the hard rock equipment on display as well.

I like the wording on the lobby of it too. It says “Hello … I love you, won’t you tell me your name?” Oh well, I would like to reply that “I love you too but I won’t tell you my name!” 😛

We then had our another round of light snack at the McCafe. It’s the first time I come across with McCafe which I not quite sure it’s available in Malaysia or not, probably yes in KL but for sure not in Penang. It’s a separate counter from the normal McDonald’s and we ordered a cup of McCafe Cappuccino and a slice of Black Sesame Cheese Cake. It doesn’t come cheap but something new to try out 😉

It was still early then and the next Dragon’s Treasure show is at 1:00pm. We have about 2 hours to go and since the show is still quite a while to go, so we went over to the Venitian (威尼斯人度假村).

Dragon's Treasure Admission Pass (FOC)

Venetian (威尼斯人度假村), it’s a very grand place that stand out from those that I’ve been so far. It’s claimed to be the biggest casino in Macau which owned by Stanley Ho Las Vegas Sands. The landscape of the Venitian is very similar to the Venice in Italy and it too replicate several landmark of Venice in its shopping mall such as the St. Mark’s Square, Doge’s Palace, Campanile Tower and etc.

In the mall, one would never feel the night as the ceiling of the mall is being painted with sky. The painting is so real that if you stare it for a while, you might feel like the cloud is moving as well. Anyway, that’s probably my eyes illusion. There’s indoor canal with gondolas and singing gondoliers but a trip of it is not cheap too.

In the mall itself, hide one of the most popular sports brand, that’s the Manchester United Megastore. It’s so much bigger than the one available in Malaysia and best of all, it come with a floor which consist of training ground alike place that allow patron to try on shooting, dribble and etc. It also have a dark room that shows all the Manchester United history and games which make you feel like you are right at the event. The most impressive one is the dressing room of the players. This is the first time ever I’ve been the dressing room with all the players shirt being hang at the wall. Actually no photographing is allows in the room but how could one die-hard fan able to hold back such a great opportunity. I secretly snap a few photo though the lighting of it was not really great. Neh, it’s something better than nothing!!! I think this is the most wonderful place of all that I’ve visit to in Macau! For Manchester United, I actually cause the rest to miss the Dragon’s Treasure show 😦

Since we’ve miss the Dragon’s Treasure event, we then left Venitian for 官也街 because one of the shop that we wanted to go is about to close  for daily business. Luckily by the time we reaches, it’s not close yet. Instead of going straight for it, we went to for something else first. We had some desert of pudding, ice-cream and jelly. Jesse bought a swiss roll too.

We then went to the 紅記飯店 to have our lunch. This is the shop that recommended in the book for it’s 燒肉 and 白斬雞. We were lucky because by the time we get there, they actually already finish their daily business and in the process of closing down. However as they would be having lunch for the workers, they allow us in to be their last customer. We did not order anything else apart from the two recommended dishes and also a dish of 炸雞. No doubt, it’s nice and even Jane who is very picky on chicken taste also felt that it’s nice 😉

We then went souvenir shop to get some souvenir for close friend. I didn’t get much though as honestly, I’m kindly broke by then :P. I just plan to buy a few and that’s it. Sorry for the rest ya but I guess my friend would understand (haha, excuses lol). Jane got a few for her family members and that it too. We got ourselves two lucky cocks for decorate for our house. I got a shotglass as I do collect it from a few country as at now. Jane then went to 昇記餅家 to get a very special tart, that’s the bird nest tart. Taste just like …. err, rather normal kindly of jelly in coconut drink I suppose hehehe 😉

Since we still have time, we took taxi back to the Venitian to try to catch the Dragon’s Treasure show once again at The Crowns hotel. We even managed to see the The House of Dancing Water at the City of Dreams where a large screen of wall size with under water alike image on it. While on and off, mermaid would appear from nowhere to entertaint the incoming patrons with gentle and delicate dances in water. It’s very nice effect and look real though I know it’s fake for such, techno stuff is doing the trick!!!

The House Of Dancing Water

Jesse managed to get us another 4 free tickets to the Dragon’s Treasure show at 4:30pm. It’s a 4D show that epic the probably feng shui of The Crowns casino but certainly a great experience for me. 4D, it’s something new and the water splashing and lighthing was awesome 😉 End of show, no where to go … so again we went to Venetian shopping mall to kill our time until 6:30pm to go for dinner at the 小飛象葡國餐 at 官也街. Haha, yes you are right, we were making trip to and fro of this two places.

Beautiful View From The Crowns

小飛象葡國餐, it’s a well-known restaurant in Macau with its Portuguese meal that frequent by local and tourist. From the menu, we ordered several Portuguese meal of Salada de Vegetais, Portuguese Green Vegetable Soup, Codfish Fried Rice, Portuguese Chicken & Fish “Caldeirada Portuguese Style”. The meal come with starter of bread and butter. As for the drink, it was slightly expensive lol. It’s our mistake of seeing the menu wrongly and ordered a jug of fresh orange juice that price at MOP130 which is more expensive than the fish. We thought it was MOP30 only initially but then after another check on it, it’s MOP30 per glass and MOP130 per jug 😛 This meal cost us total of almost MOP500. Anyway, worth it 😉 We then took bus back to 新馬路.

Once reached 新馬路, we went to 鉅記 to buy some eatable food as souvenir for office colleagues and also for my grandma 😉 We were busy buying then and forgot to snap any photo of it lol. Anyway, we bought several stuff like 紫菜肉松凤凰卷, 花生糖 and 黑芝麻花生糖. Also 杏仁饼 and also 肉乾.

Since it’s the last night at Macau, though tired, but another round of walking under the moon with breezing wind would certainly is a good idea. Already got our bag packed with everything already managed to stuff into it, nothing else would could buy as we worried it might be over-weight lol. Just walk around and the last thing we had in Macau would be the 義順’s  双皮奶 and 杏仁奶. This time we had the hot  双皮奶 and cold  双皮奶 to taste the difference. The cold of course would taste a bit weird, less milk taste and I would say it’s the  奶豆花 or pudding alike. Almond is just almond, just the smell of it I thought is nice, though not many would love it. By the way, we ordered 4 since the shop has a bill stated that each patron must order at least one or else would have to pay a fees which I forgot how much is it. I thought this only happened in Penang hahaha 😀

義順

We then just walk around Senado Square, Largo Da Sé and finally the 大三巴. Just snap some random photo along the way and that’s it, time to get back to hotel to catch tomorrow early morning flight back to LCCT.
