Hmmm, I think it’s quite a big spender too … today I’ve just got myself a pair of Nike court shoes, Nike Court Shuttle IV. It’s not very cheap after all even though it’s one of the discounted item.

By the way, this shoes would be used for my weekly badminton game 😉

Though  it’s new year, I spend my morning working for about an hour. After that, it’s a lot of news reading/update and also blog updating for those backdated post until Jane came back from market, we started my first her second round of steambot feast. Her mum even cook us honeydew sago milk . Chan HH came to my place to work in the afternoon about 3:30pm … and she work for quite a while to get her thing done. Finally she’ve completed her month end task at about 6:30pm. She left after that while myself and Jane get ourselves ready for 2011 New Year Party at my boss house.

The party was at 7:00pm but for sure people come in as the night falls. I reaches at about 7:30pm and there were already quite a number of people there. We help ourselves with foods and drink … it feel weird though that everyone was rather quiet. It’s not really like party mood at the beginning but once the dirnking session kick-off, the hu-ha started to kick in. I spend my night watching football of game between West Bromwich Albion vs Manchester United together with Danny and a few others while Jane was busy talking with Teh PE all night.

I did some talking with Teh LL too and it was a nice conversation after so long since she left the company. After that I became the photographer playing around with Ooi CM newly bought Olympus Pens series camera. It was quite fun though, various mode and effect is available but I still personally prefer dSLR model than semi dSLR compact model camera. Oh well, very much of personal preference anyway. I call it a day at about 11:45pm.

Berbatov Hattrick September 19, 2010

Nothing would make any Red Devils happier than seeing Liverpool doing badly in the league. I must admit that Man Utd were not doing really great but still acceptable in the sense, they are the only team that still unbeaten in the league this season. The only down side is their defending backline seem to be rather easily leaking easy goals especially in the last 10 minutes.

Berbatov's Second Goal Of The Game

Steven Gerrard With His Set Piece Goal

Anyway, the biggest game so far for Man Utd is the visit of Liverpool to the Old Trafford and Man Utd look far different from any other game, they attack and attack the Liverpool goal with almost the first 10 minutes of the game, it was all at the Liverpool half. The deadlock was broken in the 42nd minutes when Dimitar Berbatov scored with a stooping header to give Man Utd the lead at the break. The second half started brightly for United as well as Berbatov again with a spectacular bicycle kick left Jose Reina stranded helplessly as the ball hit the underside of the post and went in.

Liverpool ... misery

However out of sudden, United started to suffer from their slipped like in previous few away game, they let Liverpool to come back on level through Steven Gerrard from a penalty spot and a set piece goal following two crucial fouls by Jonny Evans and John O’Shea. As the game seem to destine for a draw, Berbatov again came out winner as he beat Jose Reina for the third time in the game with a towering header that eventually prove to be the winning goal 🙂

The English Barclay Premier League for season 2010/11 has begun with remarkable fashion for the Red Devils though their victory was overshadowed by the bigger margin victory of Chelsea against WBA on Saturday night.

Playing only on Monday after the rest of the team played, Manchester United host last season Championship side which was once a great power in the Premier League as well, Newcastle United. However their success in the Championship side does not put them on par with Manchester United as they were soundly beaten by three goals to nil. It was a good sign for the Devils as they too beaten Chelsea in the Community Shield competition a week earlier.

Spain not only the European Champion now, they are officially World Champion as well after they beat Holland in the World Cup final thanks to Andres INIESTA extra time goal after the scoreline remain goalless in the normal playing period. It’s Spain fourth successive single-goal victory (against Portugal, Paraguay and Germany) and they became the eighth team to win this prestigious competition.

For the Holland team, they were not unlucky. They truly beaten by a better team of the day in facts, they should have Nigel DE JONG sent off earlier for his reckless challenge on Xabi ALONSO. He was clearly aiming at player instead of the ball and such dangerous act should have been punished. However Holland did have a player sent off when John HEITINGA was shown the red card in the extra time for second bookable offence.

German edge Uruguay to claim the third place of World Cup 2010 tournament after beating them three goals to two. Uruguay however were equal to the mighty German as at one stage, they even lead the game but finally German prove to be too strong for them but overally, it’s a great tournament for the South American who progress is better than Brazil and Argentina. Thomas MULLER gave Germany the lead in the 18th minutes but were soon cancelled out by Edinson CAVANI 9 minutes later. Uruguay took the lead 6 minutes after restart through tournament joint top scorer, Diego FORLAN. However the lead only lasted for 5 minutes when Marcell JANSEN score the equalising goal before Sami KHEDIRA score the winning goal for Germany in the 82nd minutes.

Spain has reached their first ever World Cup final and with both Holland and Spain has never win the cup before, it mean that this year World Cup will register another new winner regardless it’s Holland or Spain. Spain again demostrate their great ability in defending and score one goal tactic. This time, the scorer were and unlikely one, Charles PUYOL in the 73rd minutes. Both team were great though German should be playing at higher standard considering their last two games great form but finishing touch was a big let down in such occassion. Oh well, it’s alright as this German team is rather young and maybe another one or two years, they would be powerhouse in many major tournament.

The Oranje appear winner in the five goals thriller match against Uruguay to mark their third World Cup final appearance. The next opponent would be either Germany or Spain as both team will play in another semi final game tomorrow. Back to Holland vs Uruguay, Uruguay were missing Luis SUAREZ after being suspended for red card in the previous game against Ghana. Holland took the lead through their skipper Giovanni VAN BRONCKHORST in the 18th minutes with a superb 30 yards left foot shot. Uruguay levelled the score in the 41st minutes through their talisman Diego FORLAN but Holland were back in the lead in the 70th minutes through Wesley SNEIJDER and further cement their superiority 3 minutes later through Arjen ROBBEN. Uruguay pull one back in the 2nd minutes into injury time through Maximiliano PEREIRA but were too late to get them back into the game. Congratulation to Holland.

Still enjoying the thrashing on England, German take Argentina as their next victim by another four goals, better against England as they kept clean sheet as well against another on form team, Argentina. It seem like even the magic of Lionel MESSI is never really a problem for the young German team as Thomas MULLER score as early as 3rd minutes into the game through simple header against Sergio ROMERO from Bastian SCHWEINSTEIGER set piece cross. Argentina managed to contain German but they were back in the second half first through Miroslav KLOSE 68th minutes goal then Arne FRIEDRICH made it three goals lead. Argentina try to revive by bringing on Sergio AGUERO but it was the German continue to press for the final goal through Miroslav KLOSE again in the 89th minutes. Oh well, great work from the German and for Martin DEMICHELIS, eat your words for telling off John TERRY that he would be embarrassed to let in four goals to German, now he too let the German scoring four against his team 😛

Spain is the master of scoring a goal and then defend the lead to victory and again the same scoreline were recorded against Paraguay. David VILLA 83rd minutes goal was enough to put Spain into next round and now they would be meeting with the German. A revenge of European Championship is on its way now and with Spain current form, though they have manage some clean sheet but German attacking prove to be one of the best for this tournament. Let’s wait and see how thing goes. Adrian must be very happy with it as his betting team Spain still in the run 🙂

Against the favourite of the tournament, Holland still managed to maintain their unbeaten record but not without some fight. They were trailing on 10th minutes goal from ROBINHO but thing slowly move into Holland way as the game progress. First Felipe MELO out jumped everyone but just to put the ball into his own net from Wesley SNEIJDER set piece cross in. It was not all end for Felipe MELO, he was also shown with the straight red card for stamping on Arjen ROBBEN. Holland take full advantage of having extra man and Wesley SNEIJDER scored in the 68th minutes goal that appear to be the goal that send Brazil packing. Great job to the Oranje 🙂

In another game on the same day, Uruguay literally push themselves into the semi final … controversially. Ghana appear to be able to win the game but Dominic ADIYIAH header was clearly handle by Luis SUAREZ with intention. Luis SUAREZ were sent off but Asamoah GYAN who is always reliable on spot kick somehow missed it. Finally they were beaten in the penalty shootout following one goal apiece for both team in the normal playing time. Goal were scored by Sulley MUNTARI in the 2 minutes into first half injury time while Diego FORLAN levelled the score in the 55th minutes for Uruguay.
