The weather is getting worst each day now with haze is terrorising the sky of ours. Probably due to this, we fall sicks easily and it’s true, I see a lot of people seem to be not feeling well in the office though is not severe one but still a lot of coughing around lol 😦
However today I’ve got an unexpected stuff from a colleague of mine, Chan HH. A bottle of honey drink that would help to comfort the throat 🙂 Thanks ya for the drink 😀

One box of Pocky chocolate stick left from my Betong trip recently. I brought it to the office to be shared with colleagues. Although not much to be shared with but I guess each a stick and everyone happy, isn’t it a nice move?
I guess Pocky is just good, maybe next time can get more from Betong (if and only I’ll ever go Betong again :))

Bueno was a while back, now I’m Duplo-ing instead. Another chocolate bar given by my boss from her Euro trip but instead of 3 now, it’s only one. Good thing was Duplo come with 4 breakable portions so 3 lucky person will get to enjoy the Duplo with me 😉

Tan SK & Ling YM Wedding July 2, 2011

First of all, congratulation to Ling YM and Tan SK. The newly wed couple is having their wedding reception at the Sandy Paradise Hotel. I was there rather late though as the ceremony start at about 10:00am while I left home only at 11:00am. Upon reaching, there’s no more carpark space available so I have to make several round and finally foud on at the Copthorne Hotel, just right beside the Toys Museum.
By the time I reached, everyone were already there apart from Marilyn and KH. We took some photo while waiting for the lunch. Ehem, to my surprise the foods serve here is nice and quite big portion. Don’t get me wrong, I have the impression that hotel food sucks especially for such event as I’ve personally encountered quite a number of time so I thought I still need to have another round of makan after the lunch to top up my stomach 😛
Anyway congratulation again to Ling YM and Tan SK.

Everyone thought that I would be ‘flying Boeing 747’ today because I didn’t not went to office while I’ve ask Chew SK to organize a Durian Feast few days back. Anyway I took an off day today … honestly due to laziness purely and feeling of needing a break from current working life for a while. Anyway back to Durian Feast, the event is still on and even nicer after receiving the news from the ING Insurance side.
I went to the office to fetch Chan HH, Tang SY and Ooi CM while another two cars would be driven by Tan CS fetching Ling KE, Koed HK and his wife while Lim KG is fetching his wife, Jessie, Lee BL and Danny. Chew SK would be there on his own.
The durian farm is actually located at the Balik Pulau area up the hill. It’s the Bao Sheng durian farm whom the owner of the farm is actually the friend of Chew SK. Just last week, Koed HK and Tan CS just been here and have a lot of praise of its durian, that’s the reason we are here today 😉

We seperated into two group for the durian makan with Ling KE, Koed HK and his wife, Tan CS and Chew SK in the so-called expert group as they know how to eat durian while the rest of us form another group that just want to eat durian but don’t really know what is what of durian lol 😛
While waiting for the expert side to choose the durian, we at the meanwhile take the opportunity to snap some photo for memories. Everyone seem to be busy with either camera or phone especially Ooi CM who immediately tag himself to some of the photo taken in FB.
5 different types of durian is in place. I don’t really know much of it but I heard there’re Hor Loh, Ang He, Lipan and another two. Two of our durians we spoilt on part of it and we were given replacement of same durian type but smaller one but it’s still worth it as one of the baby durian actually have a lot of filling in it. It’s delicious and don’t know why this year I have the crave of durian lol 😛
Our durian makan were further top up with the satay bought by Chew SK along the way up to the farm. He bought 120 sticks of RM0.30 per stick. Kinda cheap isn’t it and I don’t think you can find many place with this kind of price still. The satay also taste good, just nice to have it together with durian to ensure my stomach is properly filled up.
It’s a great outing today and we seriously enjoy it a lot. Thanks to Chew SK for the arrangement and everything 😉

Jane went to Hatyai, Thailand with her office colleagues yesterday but I didn’t follow as I’ve just been to Betong recently and I’m not really fancy of Hatyai anyway, maybe Bangkok would be better choice for me if any.
Anyway it’s just a post on the sourvenir from the trip by Jane on the Birthday Mouse. Of course the date is for both mine and her, 1st February and 27th September.
It’s quite interesting sourvenir. A key chain that can be put to handphone but maybe a bit too big for it. Maybe on key or just tie it to any casual going bag would be nice. However I would prefer to put it in my sourvenir display area instead.

Betong One Day Trip June 18, 2011

Initial plan was we were suppose to head to Hatyai but come to second thought, Hatyai is just simply too far for us to travel especially with our plan is just to have a one day trip, that gonna be rather tiring. Instead of Hatyai, we turn to Betong which is so much nearer. However the problem was that we’ve never been there before and worst of all, our preparation was just a day before. Did some googling and printed some map and direction. That’s all we’ve for this trip. Worst, my car charging dock is not working thus GPS is out of our usage.
Anyway we still went ahead with our trip. We started our trip at about 11:00am after breakfast. Instead of following the direction stated in the printed map, I opt for BKE [Butterworth-Kulim Express] instead. We took the wrong turn at the end of second BKE toll station and make the trip rather complicated then. Actually no turning is required at all, just a straight drive to the end, we’ll be able to come to the junction to turn to Betong. Damn, wrong turning made us needing more time to move around. We also ask around at Karangan area then.
Finally we made it to the right route. All the way we drove til we reached the border and it was about 2:00pm already then. We made it through the immigration after some minor complication (guess you know what was the problem) and head toward Betong town then.
Totally having no idea of places in Betong, we just drove around and finally we stop by Wat Phuttathiwat temple just for sight-seeing. I realised that I forgot to bring my camera, leaving with no choice so I use my SEK800i camera phone lol.
After that we just drove around, wanted to stop by local shop to have some food but after looking at those food, it wasn’t very appealing at all. We thought we were just simply wasting time there. We went to 7-Eleven to grab some stuff (junk food) and then we left Betong. It was just about 1 hour and 30 minutes plus of period we were in Betong.
We stopped by Baling to fill our stomach at roadside stall. We ordered a plate of fried rice and one bottle of barley drink and “bird nest” drink. The fried rice portion is quite huge and we actually shared it together. Luckily didn’t order for two.
Lastly, this is the leaflet given to us when we was at the Thailand border immigration premises. Hollywood … it’s interesting isn’t it? Wonderful!!! 😉
It’s a quick trip isn’t it? Betong one day trip … that’s how we made it 🙂

Bueno … now I’m Bueno-ing with my colleagues with the Kinder Bueno that given by my boss from her Euro trip. She gave 3 packs of it with 6 sub-sticks so instead of having it all by myself, I share it with some of colleague of mine. I shared out 5 sticks that further break to 10 half-sticks while keeping at full stick for Jane 🙂
I love Bueno-ing … and it’s nicer to be able to share the Bueno-ing feeling with many others 🙂

Now I think I confirm with my initial opinion on you that you are just simply not capable of what you are. How could you ask such a silly question in such a situation? It’s just not doing any good to help but just to get thing worst. It’s a real silly question I would say. Damn … maybe I should start to consider my option, shouldn’t I?
Anyway, saw a nice Honda Integra DC5 Type-R on my way to Perkaka. It’s an amazing car that simply attract my attention so much that it make the Volkwagon Golf beside it look so ordinary. What a great stuff from Honda that make me even more eager to own it one in near future 😉
Fong ZY & Ng LY’s Wedding Dinner June 4, 2011

After about 2 hours and 30 minutes journey, finally we’ve reached Sitiawan. I went to my grand-aunt house to get her house key and head over there to allow my friends to take a rest first. I went home after that.
While I was at home, Tiong JL brought some ‘kong piang’ for my Penang friends to have a taste of local famous foods. Some of them already had it before but not all. They certainly enjoy it a lot. Being a bit bored, they were playing with Ong YH’s iPad while myself and Jane enjoy watching Blue-Ray movie which my uncle brought back from Ireland. About 5:30pm, we started to get ready to attend to Fong ZY and Ng LY wedding dinner.
The dinner was at Beijing Restaurant. Basically just a dinner that I always went to lol, nothing special. The only special part was we enjoy the catching up and blow water session for month of June in Sitiawan. We had some photo taking session but I don’t really know where all the photo went to, probably it’s with Kuan CH and he didn’t put it to Facebook, damn! After dinner, we went home for rest while I went out with Adrian for our usual supper time 😉
